On International Women’s Day 2024 we just wanted to take a moment to thank all our amazing women (and men!) and share some recent commitments we would like to make towards addressing the gender balance across all areas of the MissionCX business.
Our Pledge:
Today we have been accepted as members of Women in Nuclear UK and joined their charter, this involves us making a pledge to dedicate ourselves to championing diversity and inclusion. We have a fantastic gender balance in our operations team but we want to ensure we continue to work on this, especially within our commissioning project teams, and we hope to have an announcement very soon about our first female commissioning manager, the first of many we hope!
Our approach?
Targeted recruitment, professional development, and cultivating an inclusive culture that not only elevates women’s representation in the nuclear and defence sectors but ensures every team member’s potential is fully realised.
Why It Matters:
With women’s representation in STEM fields, especially in nuclear and defence still facing significant gaps, our actions aim to set an industry standard. Despite women constituting roughly half of the global population, their representation in these critical sectors falls short. For instance, women only make up about 22% of the nuclear sector workforce worldwide. In defence, the numbers are similarly low, with women making up a fraction of the workforce and leadership positions.
Our Actions:
From enhancing recruitment processes to partnering with organisations like Women in Nuclear UK , and implementing targeted development programs, we’re on a mission to not just increase numbers but to foster an environment where every individual can thrive.

We’re not just making promises; we’re committing to measurable progress. By joining the Women in Nuclear UK Charter, we’re reinforcing our commitment to transparency and accountability in our journey towards a more inclusive workplace.
