Mission CX’s Macmillan Coffee Morning: Brewing Love and Support for the Community

Macmillan coffee morning missioncx

At MissionCX, our commissioning experts have once again demonstrated their unwavering commitment to the local community by hosting an inspiring Halloween themed Macmillan Coffee Morning. This event not only raised an impressive £511.45 for Macmillan Cancer Support and Hospice at Home West Cumbria but also exemplified MissionCX’s dedication to our ongoing social impact pledge, where we continue to make a difference and bring hope to those in need through our incredible community initiatives.

Mission CX’s Social Impact Pledge

At MissionCX, we are known for our expertise in commissioning services, we have also consistently gone above and beyond in our efforts to give back to the community. Our social impact pledge represents a deep commitment to making a positive change in the lives of individuals and families facing difficult circumstances.

The Macmillan Coffee Morning

We intend to run regular Macmillan Coffee Morning’s around key times of year and we will aim to make them not just any ordinary gathering—our aim is to hold a celebration of love, support, and unity. The centrepiece of our Halloween Bake Off, of course, was the delightful spread of cakes and pastries. With contributions from community members and local businesses, the selection of treats was both diverse and delectable, ensuring there was something to satisfy every palate. We even had a mystery guest judge – Prue Leigh, AKA Jordan Logan, from the MissionCX IT Support team, who proved a real hit with all the attendees!  🎂✨1st place for best bake went to Bethany McDonnell Cavendish Nuclear and 🎂✨2nd place to Rebecca Beddoe, Morgan Sindall. The next coffee morning will be held on Tuesday 12th December 2023, 9am – 4pm, at the Innovation Centre, Westlakes Science Park, there will be cakes, a bit of a Christmas crafty fair and a tombola, with all proceeds going to Macmillan Cancer Support and RR Dementia Day Care in Whitehaven.

A Successful Fundraising Effort

The true measure of success for MissionCX’s Macmillan Coffee Morning was the impressive amount of £511.45 raised for Macmillan Cancer Support and Hospice at Home West Cumbria. This substantial contribution will provide vital support to cancer patients and their families and help deliver end-of-life care in the comfort of patients’ homes.

A Catalyst for Positive Change

Our commitment to our social impact pledge is not limited to a single event; it represents an ongoing dedication to our community. Our impressive work doesn’t just stop at commissioning services—it extends to improving the lives of those who call West Cumbria home.

We have once again proven that our mission is not just about business but about making a meaningful impact in the community we serve. The success of their Macmillan Coffee Morning, raising £511.45 for two crucial charities, is a testament to our dedication and the power of collective effort.

We look forward to the next Christmas Bake Off, more prizes to be won and the promise of another special guest.
