From Busy Beginnings to Confident Leadership: Victoria’s Two-Year Story at MissionCX

CRS_0403

When Victoria De La Rosa joined MissionCX in March 2023, she stepped straight into the thick of it. As Resource Admin Support, she quickly became a vital part of a busy operations team — handling project demands, keeping things on track, and becoming the calm centre of a very active wheel.

Fast-forward two years, and Victoria is now Resource Manager, leading a team of three and playing a key role in how MissionCX finds, supports, and empowers the best commissioning talent across the UK and Europe.

Her journey has been built not on big noise, but on consistency, care, and a genuine commitment to doing things well.

💡 Coaching That Unlocks Leadership

In Autumn 2024, Victoria began a coaching programme with leadership development expert Kathryn Jackson — a space to step back, reflect, and build her confidence as a new manager.

“The coaching helped me really understand what kind of leader I wanted to be. It gave me tools to create a more open, supportive team culture — and reminded me that leadership doesn’t have to look one way.”

The sessions focused on what makes a high-performing team: psychological safety, trust, communication, and clarity. It aligned naturally with MissionCX’s values — supporting people to grow not just in their current role, but for the long term.

🌱 Built for Growth – Skills for Life at MissionCX

MissionCX isn’t just about filling roles — it’s about building careers. Initiatives like The MissionCX Pathfinder Programme show just how seriously we take lifelong development — for early careers, mid-career professionals, and leaders alike – from Rookie to Retiree.

Victoria’s path reflects that perfectly. Every step of the way, she’s had space to grow, people cheering her on, and support that’s built around skills for life, not just short-term performance.

💬 A Quick Q&A with Victoria (I drafted some answers eher Vic please change at will)

What’s the biggest shift you’ve experienced since becoming a manager?
Learning how to step back and give people space — it’s not about control, it’s about creating an environment where your team can thrive.

How did the coaching shape your leadership?
It gave me confidence. I stopped second-guessing myself and learned how to have better conversations — the kind that move things forward.

What do you value most about working at MissionCX?
That people genuinely care. There’s support when you need it, and real investment in your development — not just talk.

🐾 And Tito?

Still waving “bonjour” like a pro. Still making appearances on video calls. Still part of the team. 🐶

The Takeaway

Victoria’s story shows what can happen when someone’s given the tools, trust, and time to grow. From navigating a high-pressure admin role to managing a thriving team, she’s done it with focus, humility, and a lot of heart.

Congratulations on your two-year anniversary, Victoria

We’re so proud of your journey so far — and excited to see what’s next.
