At MissionCX, giving back is built into who we are. Through The MissionCX Community Programme™, we support meaningful causes that matter to our people and the communities we live and work in. This year, we’re proud to be taking on a powerful challenge—The Lake District Mighty Hike, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support—and we’re doing it together, as a team.
On 14th June 2025, a brilliant group of MissionCX employees – Ben, Joanne, Nicci, Dan, Lynn, Mark, Keisha, Shelby, Nicola, Vic, Jordan, Mark and Kath – will be hiking a half marathon over tough, rugged terrain around the shores of Ullswater, right in the heart of the Lake District National Park. It’s steep, uneven, challenging, and absolutely no mean feat—but we’re proud Cumbrians, and we’re ready to take it on together, right here on our home soil.
Many of us are keen walkers and ramblers, and this challenge gives us a powerful reason to keep moving—for our health, for team morale, and most importantly, to support the 3 million people currently living with cancer in the UK. Our training walks have already taken us to Muncaster Castle, Dent, and in and around our offices at Westlake’s Science Park, with more to come at St Bees Coastal Path, Ennerdale, and Buttermere. It’s been a brilliant way to bond as a team, reflect, and prepare—physically and mentally—for the challenge ahead.
What makes this even more special is that this challenge wasn’t set by the company—it was entirely driven by our people. From signing up and planning training walks, to organising routes and launching the fundraising page, our team has taken the lead every step of the way. It’s a true reflection of the passion, initiative, and community spirit that runs through MissionCX.

As part of our regular Quarterly Team Days, we’ve got another exciting walk booked in—a special team hike at a secret Lake District location, to be revealed on 25th April. All we can say for now is: it’s going to be epic. Watch this space!
