For the 2nd year running, MissionCX are the main sponsor for Walney Central Rugby Club – our Managing Directors’ former tackling ground!
For the second consecutive year, we are proud to announce that we are the main sponsors of Walney Central Amateur Rugby League open-age team, for the upcoming season. This year we have extended our sponsorship to cover not only the player’s shirts but also their training kit. We get very excited about supporting local causes and going back to our grassroots. It makes all of our hard work feel even more worthwhile when we see our sponsorship helping nurture local young talent. Our Managing Director, Ben Slater, having once been a keen Walney Central player from the age of seven, is now enjoying being back involved as a sponsor, watching his old team progress and grow. The new red, blue and white kit bearing our logo looks fantastic and aligns well with our own MissionCX blue colour pallet!
At MissionCX we recognise the important role sport plays in the well-being of our communities and workforce – cultivating a team mentality, and helping to shape healthy and positive behavioural traits, are invaluable life skills. Here at MissionCX, we recognise how crucial it is for people (not just young!) to engage in regular activity; it’s not only critical for their physical fitness but it’s excellent for maintaining mental well-being. Well-being lies very much at the heart of our core values, which we actively champion both internally within our own workforce, as well as externally within the wider community.
We are committed to social value, fairness, and our people, this commitment is recognised through our pledge to donate 1% of our employee’s time and 1% of our net profits to support charitable community initiatives like Walney Rugby Club.
The people that run and support clubs such as Walney Central deserve all the help and recognition possible for all the great work that they do. Ben Slater, our Managing Director, often recites how eternally grateful he is for the support he had from Walney Central as a youngster, and is honoured that MissionCX can play a role in the club’s future success.
