We’re thrilled to welcome Lynn Irving to the MissionCX team as our newest Business Administrator. Lynn brings a wealth of experience and infectious enthusiasm to our operations, making her a valuable addition to our mission. With a remarkable career spanning over two decades at KAEFER, she joins us as a true veteran in office administration and process optimisation.
In addition, Lynn’s expertise in managing administrative functions at Sellafield Site Operations demonstrates her dedication to efficient operations and secure handling of personnel records. Her knack for streamlining processes and collaborating with client security representatives has earned her a reputation as an individual who values precision, collaboration, and excellence. Now, as she steps into her new role as Business Administrator for our Finance team at MissionCX, we’re excited to see how her skills will enhance our business operations.
Outside of work, Lynn is a qualified ballroom dancing instructor, blending elegance and discipline—a true testament to her varied skills and interests. She also enjoys exploring the outdoors, traveling, and scenic drives. Lynn’s professional journey and vibrant personality add a unique flavour to MissionCX’s culture, and we couldn’t be happier to have her on board.
To help everyone get to know Lynn a bit better, we asked her a few fun and insightful questions:
- What inspired you to pursue a career in finance and office administration, and what do you enjoy most about it?
I began my career at 16 as an Office Junior with a local building contractor, where I quickly discovered my passion for the office environment. Within a few months, I was learning payroll and gaining a variety of administrative skills, which sparked my interest in finance and office management. What I enjoy most is the sense of achievement that comes from organizing and streamlining processes to help a business run smoothly.
- We hear you’re a ballroom dance instructor! What’s your favorite dance style, and how did you get started in dance?
I started dancing at 10 years old with a friend and was hooked immediately! After competing locally, I had the incredible experience of competing at the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom with the Anderson School of Dance. Our Amateur Formation Team won the British Championships in Blackpool in 1973 and 1975, and placed third in 1974.
In 1975, for the third year in a row, we represented the Northwest on the TV show “Come Dancing” (the original Strictly Come Dancing). Although my team won our section, the Northwest narrowly missed the finals by just one point!
My favourite dance is the Foxtrot for its complexity and elegance, but I’ve always dreamed of learning the Argentinian Tango—preferably in Argentina!
- What are some hobbies or activities you enjoy outside of work that help you recharge?
I love staying active and recharging through activities like going to the gym, cooking, walking, and traveling abroad. I also enjoy long drives, which allow me to relax and clear my mind.
- As someone who’s just joined the MissionCX team, what are you most looking forward to in your new role as Finance Administrator?
I’m excited to use my skills and knowledge to contribute to MissionCX’s success. I’m looking forward to making a positive impact, collaborating with the Finance team, and challenging myself to achieve new goals while supporting the company’s growth.
- Finally, tell us one fun fact about yourself that might surprise us!
I used to enjoy attending track days with my petrolhead boyfriend (now husband) in his Porsche 911 Carrera S. We visited circuits like Cadwell Park, Oulton Park, Donington, and Knockhill—it was an adrenaline-packed experience I’ll never forget!
Please join us in welcoming Lynn to MissionCX! We look forward to the positive impact she’ll bring to our team and clients and can’t wait to learn more about her as she settles into her new role.
