MissionCX was thrilled to hear that Lindal Bowling Club was in need of sponsors.
Why? Close family ties and a desire to help a well respected club continue to do what it does so well: bringing people together around the love of sport.
With fond memories of days spent at Lindal Bowling Club as a child, MissionCX director Joanne Slater’s family have been keen member players at Lindal for generations. Her Dad, Kevin ‘Bumble’ Rooney, currently plays a huge supporting role in the upkeep of the club and grounds ensuring the green is in pristine condition for league and match days.
MissionCX are now proud sponsors of the Rooney Cup and the Winter Series competition. To say we’re ‘bowled over’ to support this community hub in the heart of the Cumbrian countryside would be an understatement.
Small local clubs often struggle to stay open throughout the winter months so this extra level of support will help keep the bowlers and members together all year round. Bowling clubs are crucial cogs in the community wheel, providing opportunities for people, young and old, to learn new skills, work as a team and socialise together in a familiar setting.
Those that run and support clubs such as Lindal Bowling Club deserve a huge pat on the back for all that they achieve for players, their community and beyond.
Sponsoring Lindal Bowling Club competitions is only a small part of MissionCX’s overall objective to support charitable and community initiatives, so watch this space for future schemes.
