Mark’s professional journey is marked by a unique blend of military discipline, nuclear industry expertise, and entrepreneurial spirit. His background includes:
- Ex-Forces: With a decade of service in the Royal Air Force, Mark’s roles spanned policing, close protection, and instructional duties in the UK and operationally overseas, demonstrating his leadership and dedication to service.
- Nuclear Industry: Another ten years in the nuclear sector, where he held significant roles at Sellafield Ltd and Kellogg Brown and Root Limited, focusing on risk and change management, personnel development and community engagement through social impact delivery. His efforts were recognized for the latter through various awards for the team, including Sellafield Wave, Chapter One and New Civil Engineer Awards in 2024.
- Entrepreneurship: As the founder of Cumbrian Tea and Coffee Co., Mark demonstrated his knack for innovation and business development; successfully bringing a new product to market during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic.
